Timeline Overview
 
The process is a marathon rather than a sprint, because only hair in the active (anagen) development phase can be successfully removed, and only around 30% of hair is in this phase at any given moment.
 
Initial Phase (approx. 3 months): This phase usually consists of a "first pass clearance" with multiple intensive sessions, such as four 2-hour sessions spaced around 21 days apart, to cover the full area required for the surgery site.
 
Ongoing Treatment Phase (approx. 12-18 months): After the first clearing, sessions become less frequent, usually every 6 weeks for 2-hour treatments, to get regrowth where separate hair cycles emerge.

The process can take a significant amount of time, especially for facial hair. Some estimates suggest it can take 100–200 hours spread over 1–2 years.

Before & Aftercare

Before treatment:

•             Avoid waxing or tweezing for at least 2 weeks prior

•             Keep skin clean and free of heavy creams

•             Avoid sun exposure or tanning for 48 hours before your appointment

After treatment:

•             Expect mild redness for a few hours (this is normal)

•             Apply aloe vera or antimicrobial cream

•             Avoid makeup, deodorant, or harsh skincare for 24 hours

•             Use SPF if exposed to sunlight
