What is plasma Elite skin Tightening?

The Plasma Elite hand piece produces a tiny plasma flash by ionising the gases in the air to form plasma, which creates a small electrical arc from the probe to the skin and causes it to contract, having an instant tightening effect.  Plasma Eliteis a highly effective form of plasma skin regeneration that can be used to treat everything from fine lines and scarring, to skin tags and smoker’s lines. How does plasma skin regeneration work?

This process generates a tiny lightning bolt that damages existing skin cells and causes them to contract. And that’s when the magic happens – the skin’s natural healing processes go into overdrive, encouraging fresh new cells to be produced. These include collagen and elastin, which help to maintain the skin’s elasticity and minimise the appearance of wrinkles. Plasma Elite treatment can be used to treat superficial issues such as hyper-pigmentation and fine lines, as well as more extensive ones such as deep wrinkles and sagging skin. 

Who is plasma skin regeneration good for?

Plasma Elite is suitable for all ages and most skin tones, and for anyone who wants to achieve a smoother, more youthful complexion. It can treat a variety of skin imperfections, including stretch marks, scarring, brown spots, and unwanted tattoos. It’s particularly effective for treating fine lines around the mouth (so-called smoker’s lines), as well as rejuvenating the whole eye area (non-surgical blepharoplasty). 

What does Plasma Elite involve?

Plasma Elite can be performed in under an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area. To begin with, local anaesthetic cream is applied to numb the skin. The plasma elite pen is then held close to the skin, and lots of little zaps delivered all over the treatment area. You’re likely to feel some heat and possibly tiny amount of discomfort, but not for long (for example a typical eye-treatment lasts around 20-25 minutes). After the treatment, your skin may feel a little sensitive like mild sunburn, and there’ll probably be a little swelling for the first couple of days. You’ll also develop small dry spots that will crust over and flake off within a week. The Plasma Elite aftercare is provided with this treatment.

What results can I expect?

Immediately after the treatment, your skin will appear tighter and smoother. This will continue to improve as the skin cells regenerate in the following weeks, this can take 12 weeks to peak. Depending on your age and the area being treated, you’ll need between one to three sessions, performed around twelve weeks apart.  New collagen is stimulated in the area due to the trauma created and this can continue for up to a period of 1 year.

Are there any Pre - Treatment Preparation's?

48 hrs prior to Plasma Elite treatment a patch is required to check there is no allergic reaction to the numbing cream.
